An abstract landscape drawn from the tranquillity and luminosity of water and sky, built up in soft layers of turquoise, aqua and earthy tone to create a sense of calm, space and reflection. Paula Kemp works intuitively in oil and cold wax from her studio in rural Staffordshire, allowing each piece to find its own composition rather than working towards a fixed result. Self-taught and exhibiting since 2020, her work has been shown across London and internationally, and voted people's favourite artist at several exhibitions.
