Some essential items for families who are starting again aren’t always available in our warehouse, but are an important part of building a home. These could be kitchen basics such as kettles, toasters or chopping boards; bathroom products such as toilet brushes and bins; or specific items tailored to an individual family like games for neurodivergent children or study materials for a survivor rebuilding her career. 

Where these items aren’t available, we have created a wish list on the John Lewis website for our supporters to browse and choose items to gift to families that Furnishing Futures is supporting. These gifts will then be delivered to our headquarters in Leyton, East London, and our Homes Team will pass the gifts onto the families, along with the other furniture and furnishings they need. We will add and update items on this wish list to reflect the changing needs of the families we are supporting at any one time.
